Ultima parte, unicamente fotografica, dell’articolo Missione in Cappadocia
This three-parts article is inspired by my job as photographer within the research, study and restoration mission in Cappadocia organized by the Italian Università degli Studi della Tuscia. The mission’s chief is Prof. Maria Andaloro that has been working in Turkey as long as over 20 years. The mission’s work is centered on the hundreds of churches (kilise in turkish) carved from the countless rock formations of the region over a period spanning from 5th to 13th century.
I’ve been involved in this mission since 2014 and have gladly accepted the challenge.
Presenting these pictures has not been so easy as selecting a few images to represent the country, its essence and our job from hundreds of shots has been a hard task! Despite this, it is my hope you may find out my work acceptable and can enjoy these images.
